OVO Gelato is bringing its much-loved creamy treats to the East End, and it’s all set to be your new favourite hangout spot.
Slated to open in the first week of November, this new outlet might be smaller than its Newton sibling, but it’s going to pack a punch with its urban and edgy atmosphere.
Situated in the heart of the East End, where quality wine and gourmet dinners are the norm, this new gelato spot is gearing up to add a sweet touch to your outings.
Owners John Milky and Gabby Saleh have teamed up with Rem from Remington Matters to blend local vibes with authentic Italian flavours, creating a space that’s as cool and inviting as the East End itself.
“We’re match our vibe to the vibe of the East End precinct. It’s a really cool spot, with lots of trendy wine bars, and this will be perfect to compliment that on a warm summer night.” Mr Milky said.
But it’s not just about the cool interiors and custom-made furniture; the real star here is the gelato. OVO Gelato is all about freshness and quality.
They’re bringing in some of their classic flavours but are also upping the ante with some special new additions, including the exotic golden kiwi fruit.
With 12 flavours on rotation, they’re focusing on offering a richer experience with more exclusive flavours and a higher turnover. So you can try something new every time you go.
The East End store will also be operating as a coffee bar, with early morning coffee and pastries, and a range of delicious OVO bagels.
And here’s the exciting part – they’re thinking of experimenting with savoury gelato options, possibly paired with wine, to offer a unique tasting experience. Plus, they’re planning to introduce a gelati cart for events, so you can have their delicious offerings at your special occasions too.
Mr Milky said that the inspiration behind OVO Gelato was to create a space where everyone could enjoy a treat, regardless of their dietary preferences. From vegan options to sugar-free and keto-friendly varieties, they’ve got something for everyone.
