Popular Adelaide acai and espresso bar ‘AH-SAI-YEE’ has announced the opening of a highly anticipated second store this November. The new store will be located in Adelaide’s largest shopping centre, Westfield Marion, making it the newest go-to for acai lovers in the south-west.
AH-SAI-YEE opened the doors to its first store on O’Connell Street last November, quickly becoming a hit with Adelaide locals, and now within a year, a second store is set to open.
When Glam Adelaide spoke to 20-year-old owner Anthony Chahoud in October 2023, despite this being his first venture into the business world, he expressed his ambitions for more stores.
“I’m already in talks about opening a second and third store on the eastern side and north side of Adelaide as soon as the first one rolls out,” Anthony said.
After opening, the bar quickly became a viral sensation on TikTok and Instagram, encouraging those from far and wide to try it out for themselves.
Customers loved that it was open until late, and the customisable aspect made it perfect to find something to suit everyone.
When heading into the store, customers can either choose from the long list of specialty bowls, each including different fruits, granola, toppings and sauces, or they can choose to customise their bowl from scratch.
Acai is classified as a superfood, and has plenty of proven health benefits including anti-ageing effects, aids weight loss, helps digestion, promotes skin health, is a great source of fibre, boosts energy and mental function, boosts the immune system, promotes heart health and a great source of vitamins.
At AH-SAI-YEE the highest-grade pulp acai is used, meaning it is the healthiest and not packed with sugar and guarana. The menu also includes protein balls, smoothies, juices and coffees.
