Popular Melbourne self-serve frozen yoghurt and acai store, Yo-Bar, is opening its first store outside of Victoria in Adelaide on Saturday February 15th. The new store will be located on Rundle Street, taking over the space previously occupied by fashion boutique Azalia.
At Yo-Bar, customers can create their own personalised desserts, choosing from frozen yoghurt, acai bowls, or fruit cups, with over 60 topping options. The store has ten rotating frozen yoghurt flavours, including classic vanilla and chocolate, as well as popular limited-time options like Bueno, Biscoff, and strawberries and cream.
Their acai bowls are made with the highest-quality acai solids for an authentic taste, free of additives and with reduced sugar. To complete the experience, customers can add fresh fruits, sweets, crunchy nuts, or warm sauces like peanut butter, Nutella, and Biscoff. Yo-Bar also offers a selection of smoothies and hot drinks to go with dessert.
Since opening its first store in Bentleigh in 2023, Yo-Bar has seen impressive growth. Within just over a year, the brand expanded to St Kilda, Camberwell, Collingwood, and most recently, Chadstone Shopping Centre in Victoria. Now, the Adelaide store marks a new era as Yo-Bar ventures outside of Victoria for the first time to South Australia.
The new location on Rundle Street does mark the end of an era for another popular business – Azalia Boutique – which has been there for the past four years. Azalia recently shared on Instagram, “After an amazing journey at our Rundle Street location, our lease is coming to an end this February. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re excited about what lies ahead as we plan our next chapter.”
To celebrate the grand opening, Yo-Bar has got some fun giveaways going down, with the first 100 customers receiving a free bowl. Plus, there will be a 20% discount all weekend, available on both Saturday and Sunday.
