Who doesn’t love to grab a Vietnamese roll, take a stroll along the beach and park up on the sand, where the golden flakes can flutter.
Saigon Times knows pretty much everyone can enjoy fresh Vietnamese street food along the ocean and that’s why they’re expanding from Glenelg to the ever-popular Henley Beach.
The family-run business is fronted by Winnie and Leo, who put plenty of hard work, late nights and passion into the project.
Leo brings his love for creating delicious, flavour-packed food and together they focus on creating a warm and welcoming place where people can come together and enjoy great Vietnamese food.
“Saigon Times was inspired by our love for Vietnamese food and the joy that comes from sharing a meal with family and friends,” Winnie said.
“After seeing how much our Glenelg community embraced and supported us, we wanted to create another space where people could enjoy authentic flavours, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere, this time in Henley Beach.”
The menu will feature the same Vietnamese favourites and comfort dishes as Glenelg, including pho, laksa, fried rice, stir fries, spring rolls, dim sims, bánh mì, bun bowls and more.
“Whether you’re after something hearty, fresh, or quick and easy, there’s something for everyone.”
As a family run business, Winnie said they want every person walking into the venue to feel comfort and joy, much like their venue in Glenelg.
“From friendly faces and smiles from our staff to authentic Vietnamese flavours and generous meals, we take pride in creating an experience that feels like more than just dining out, it’s a place we hope people enjoy returning to again and again.”
The duo pride themselves on the fresh food, big portions and friendly service that won’t feel overwhelming.
“Whether you’re dining in, grabbing takeaway after the beach, or catching up with friends, we want Saigon Times to feel like a local spot people can keep coming back to,” Winne said.
“We want every customer to feel comfortable and leave satisfied.”
