This February, Woodville is set to welcome a new bar and cafe to the main street, bringing with it an innovative concept that’s sure to dazzle any coffee connoisseur, bar enthusiast, or entertainment lover.
Bavarde Cabaret Bar will be a casual cafe by day, cheeky wine bar by night. But what truly brings the venue to life will be the talented wait staff, known as Bavastars, who will transform it into a classic French-style cabaret bar.
“Mark and Mel the owners have worked on cruise ships for a long time and in lots of other entertainment areas,” shared Bavastar Amy.
“They’ve owned entertainment businesses nationwide and it’s always been their dream to open a cabaret bar. When this opportunity opened up with the Woodville Town Hall, they thought it would be such a good blend of people that come that way for shows, while being an area that needs a bit of pizzazz and entertainment.”
The bar is located just outside the Woodville Town Hall, a respected entertainment venue in Adelaide’s western suburbs. The Woodville Town Hall has a rich history of providing entertainment and the arts to the local community, so the boutique bar and cafe is sure to fit right in.
“Six days a week, it’s going to be a fully functional cafe in the mornings, with a French theme. We’re going to have some really nice coffee and pastry offerings.
“Then in the evenings from Thursday to Sunday, you can book a session, the sessions are two hours but there’s always an option to stay later, where you’ll get to experience some really nice platters and drinks, and your waiter might just get up and perform, who knows?
“No two nights will be the same! But, every night you can expect all kinds of performances, from burlesque performers, singers, dancers, comedians, and musicians, there’s so many opportunities for people to showcase their talents, while providing great service.”
Bavarde will be your one-stop shop for dinner and a show. If you’ve been looking to switch up your usual night out, or fancy stepping out of your comfort zone, this will be the place to be.
“It’ll be the place to go if you’re sick of going out for a drink and nothing happens, there’s all kinds of adventures at Bavarde. It’s also an opportunity to get out of your comfort zone, we want people to converse with each other, rather than sitting on their phones. We want to spark conversation between our patrons.”
