South Australia’s Premier, Steven Marshall has held a press conference in at Adelaide company site, Fusetec to speak on the company’s global distribution of PPE, and discuss compassionate exemptions.
Fusetec, who produce soft tissue reproductions amongst other medical services, are delving into manufacturing PPE to adapt to the COVID-19 environment.
Mr Marshall then spoke on the state of compassionate exemptions of the international travel ban, following the latest COVID-19 case in SA arising from a woman who was granted travel into SA.
With exemptions paused while the situation is being examined, SA Police, and Minister for Health, Stephen Wade, alongside other relevant bodies, will be meeting this afternoon to establish an airtight system that allows compassionate exemptions which the utmost safety.
