Competition: Win Tickets To The 2015 Australian Supercross Championship In Adelaide

Love a little bit of Supercross? Well you are in luck because we have tickets to giveaway to this weekend’s Adelaide Round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship. Check out how to win here…

Preparations are hitting top gear as the countdown continues to round three of the Energy Logistix 2015 Australian Supercross Championship presented by Penrite Oils at Adelaide Showground on Saturday October 31 (keep reading to see how you can win tickets)!

It has been seven years since world-class Supercross has descended on the giant green infield of the Wayville, South Australia, venue and with Mannum’s international moto hero Brett Metcalfe jetting home from California to contest the round, the on-track action is sure to be spectacular.

Metcalfe is making a whirlwind trip home to South Australia for the Adelaide round, and will line up aboard a SD3 Husqvarna team FC450, in a ride made possible thanks to the support of event sponsor Energy Logistix and event promoters Mark Gilbert and Scott Anderson.

“It’s awesome that Supercross is back at Adelaide,” enthuses Metcalfe, who has been based in the USA since 2003.

“I’m so looking forward to arriving back home in Adelaide this weekend and seeing my family and then gearing up with the SD3 Husqvarna team through next week to be ready to go racing on October 31.”

Come Saturday October 31, it will be time to go racing, when Metcalfe will step right into the midst of the SX1 class Australian Supercross Championship rivalry currently being waged by points leader Dan Reardon (CDR Yamaha) and defending two-time Supercross champion, Matt Moss (Motul Suzuki).

Moss won the opening round of the Championship at Bathurst, NSW, two weeks ago, with Reardon finishing second.

Then Reardon won an action-packed round two last weekend at Jimboomba, Queenland, the arch-rivals rubbing shoulders in the opening laps before Moss crashed twice and had to fight his way back to a third place finish behind NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing’s Adam Monea.

Reardon now leads the SX1 Championship standings with 67 points, just two points ahead of Moss on 65.

Behind them is a traffic jam of four riders – Kade Mosig (CDR Yamaha), SA favourite Kirk Gibbs (KTM Motocross Racing), American Gavin Faith (Penrite Honda) and Monea – who are all blanketed by just one point (54/53).

Add Metcalfe into the mix at Adelaide and the pressure to score maximum points for the top SX1 contenders will be intense.

Meanwhile in the SX2 category, American ace Jimmy Decotis and his Penrite Honda Racing CRF250R are a perfect two wins from two starts (70 points), giving him a handy ten point lead in the Championship over Aussie aces Jackson Richardson (Penrite Honda Wilson MX) and Luke Clout (Serco Yamaha), who are tied on 60 points apiece.

Leading South Australian racer Luke Arbon, who will have Metcalfe join him in the SD3 Husqvarna team for the Adelaide event, is fourth in the SX2 standings, with DPH Motorsports Peter Stevens Yamaha youngster Wade Hunter rounding out the top five.

Adelaide’s very own singing superstar Cat Southern will also be singing the National Anthem at the event!

With tickets selling fast for the Adelaide round, Supercross fans should head here to book their tickets – with all online pre-purchase tickets enjoying a special $5 discount on prices at the gate.
