Adelaide’s award-winning Concubine Restaurant has been setting the standard for contemporary Asian dining since 2007, and now they’ve launched something fresh for the weekday crowd.
Their new Friday YumCha Lunch Special brings a touch of indulgence to the city lunch scene, perfect for corporate teams, catch-ups and anyone who fancies a long Friday feast to celebrate the week’s end.
Located on Gouger Street, Concubine is known for its refined take on traditional Chinese cuisine, with a menu that sits between comfort and creativity.
This new lunch experience offers a curated three-course menu that is sophisticated and shareable, priced at $59 per person with a minimum of four guests.
“We wanted to create something that felt a little special to end the work week” says Manager, Chung Man.
“It’s our way of helping people slow down and enjoy great food with great company, without needing to book an evening out.”

Alongside the signature dishes, the lunch finishes with a hero dessert that has become something of a cult favourite. The Thai pandan custard-filled pumpkin with salted coconut sauce is delicate, creamy and packed with flavour.
“Our pandan custard dessert is one of those dishes people talk about long after they’ve left the restaurant,” Chung shares.
“It’s comforting and unexpected — and we knew it had to be part of this new menu.”
To add to the experience each table also receives a bottle of Dal Zotto’s “Pacino” Prosecco, bringing the perfect celebratory fizz without overwhelming the food.

This Friday special is a clever move for the iconic venue, creating another reason for diners who want high-quality food without the formalities of a banquet dinner to visit. It’s tailored to city workers, groups looking for something more on their lunch break.
“We’ve seen a growing appetite for premium lunch offerings in the CBD,” Chung adds.
“People still want quality, but they also want it to feel easy, generous and fun, and that’s exactly what we’ve created.”
Whether you’re planning an end-of-week treat with colleagues or want to impress out-of-town guests, this new Friday offering is one of the most delicious ways to wrap up the work week in Adelaide.
