Hosted by Monnie Kleine, this event included an afternoon of sweets and treats where guests snacked on everything from tiny goats cheese tartlets to liquorice allsorts in an indulgent setting in the Highway Hotel Bistro.
The highlight of the High Tea was the dessert bar, which was loaded with sumptuous delights including jelly slice, chocolate balls, custard tartlets, chocolate mousse and Monnie’s signature cupcakes. Not to be missed were the Macaroons, with guests piling their plates with one of every flavour. Monnie’s wonderful three tiered party cake featured on its own pedestal in the Confetti Design trademark colours, setting the theme and design for the High Tea.
The High Tea event commenced with flavour infused teas from Tielka, coffee and wine, followed by a round of savouries. This was quickly followed by a rush to the dessert bar, as the guests could hardly wait to try all of the goodies! A raffle and silent auction on the day raised funds for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Confetti Design are now in the running to win the title of Highway Apprentice, which comes with a cash prize of $5000 and a trip for two to Los Angeles. The FINAL of The Highway Apprentice sponsored by Glam Adelaide will be held at the Highway Hotel this Friday 20th August.
