Construction begins on epic new ninja playground in Springfield

The Ninja Course Playground is set to be an attraction that will test your children’s strength, agility, and determination.

The brand new Ninja Course Playground is underway at McElligots Reserve in Springfield.

This exciting addition promises to bring a whole new level of excitement and challenge to the already popular recreational area.

The Ninja Course Playground is set to be an attraction that will test your children’s strength, agility, and determination.

Featuring a variety of obstacles, both beginners and seasoned ninjas will find something to enjoy. They’ll be able to conquer the boulder climb, defy gravity on the rope net wall, showcase their strength on the commando bar climb, and put their speed to the test on the stopwatch wall, where they can challenge themselves and their friends to beat the clock.

To ensure comfort during these ninja adventures, a shade structure will be installed to shield the sun and create a comfortable environment. Additionally, a new paved path will enhance accessibility, making it easier for everyone to reach the playground and enjoy the fun.

For those who prefer a more traditional workout, exercise equipment will be available, offering a well-rounded recreational experience for visitors of all ages and fitness levels.

The history of McElligots Reserve adds a fascinating dimension to this upcoming attraction. Known as McElligott’s Quarry in the past, the area served as a significant part of the Brownhill Creek Quarries and later as the Fullarton Dump.

It was in the late 1800s when the McElligott family took charge of the quarry operations, supplying metal for road construction and repair. Today, the area is under the ownership of the Mitcham Council and has retained its geological formations, making it a unique backdrop for the new Ninja Playground.

Construction of the Ninja Playground is set to be complete by the end of the month. You can find McElligott’s Quarry Reserve at 48 Carrick Hill Dr, Mitcham.
