Cooper’s Column: the best schnitty in town

Cooper was a Year 10 work experience student who spent a week here learning about all things journalism, digital media, and lifestyle reporting. During his time with us, he wrote the following piece about one if his favourite South Australian restaurants.

Words: Cooper M

Da Vinci Ristorante is an Italian restaurant on the popular O’Connell Street in North Adelaide, which is a short journey away from the Women and Children’s Hospital and Adelaide Oval. They do wonderful wood-fired pizzas & other Italian classics in a laid-back joint, with a bar and outdoor seating.

They also do giant schnitzels and garlic bread! (which this writer thinks is one of their highlights). You’re sure to love your time, even if you’re just going out for lunch or dinner with a couple of friends or family, or for a more formal occasion, even though the prices these days obviously can be a little expensive, the food is still delicious and is well worth it. There’s something delicious for everyone here! They also do mouth-watering & DELICIOUS coffee and orange juice!!!

They also do juicy steak where ‘life is too short to not have one!’ This writer especially loves their giant schnitzels (they are massive and you’ll be taking some home) and the softest garlic bread ‘pizzas’ (it is like melt-in-your-mouth stuff!) They even have their own standalone menu for their schnitzels with loads of topping and sauce options (it’s like a buffet for schnitzels!). Takeaway and delivery are also available if you want to enjoy Da Vinci’s masterpieces from your couch!

They also have a selection of cakes and desserts available which is the perfect way to end your meal.
