Coopers Brewery unveils 2024 Vintage Ale with a tropical twist

Coopers Brewery launches its 2024 Vintage Ale, featuring a tropical infusion of exclusive hops. This highly anticipated, limited-edition brew promises a unique blend of fruity and herbal notes, perfect for craft beer enthusiasts. Available now in select stores and venues.

Coopers Brewery has officially released its 2024 Vintage Ale, setting this year’s brew apart with a tropical infusion. Renowned for its annual vintage releases, this extra-strong ale is expected to capture the attention of craft beer enthusiasts across Australia with its unique flavour profile and high alcohol content of 7.5% ABV.

The 2024 edition features a compelling blend of hops, including the German Solero and the newly introduced Bru-1 from the USA. This selection imparts a mix of tropical fruity and herbal aromas, with striking notes of pineapple, mango, and passionfruit, complemented by hints of citrus. When savoured, the ale offers a complex flavour palette consisting of berry, spice, and melon, layered over a moderately bitter backdrop with a lingering finish.

Dr Tim Cooper, Managing Director and Chief Brewer at Coopers Brewery, highlighted the distinctive qualities of this year’s vintage. “The hops pairing creates an intriguing balance of tropical fruit and herbal notes while maintaining a pleasant level of bitterness on the palate,” he noted. “We know that exclusive seasonal brews are a real hit with Australian drinkers, and we expect this year’s Vintage release will be no exception.”

The brewery advises that to fully appreciate the Vintage Ale’s rich flavours and aromas, one should gently roll the bottle before opening and pour it carefully into a stemmed beer glass. While the Vintage Ale is perfect for immediate consumption, especially during the cooler months, it also offers potential for further maturation. Stored under cellar conditions, the ale’s robust, malty characters become more pronounced.

This year’s Vintage Ale is not only a craft beer but also a collector’s item, available in limited quantities. Released ahead of Father’s Day, it provides a unique gift option and can be found in bottle shops in 355mL bottles, six packs, and 24-pack cartons. For those preferring to experience it on tap, Coopers are supplying it to selected venues across the country for a limited period.

Since the inception of the Vintage Ale series in 1998, each release has brought something different to the table, and the 2024 Vintage Ale is no exception. The carefully selected combination of Solero and Bru-1 hops ensures a continuation of Coopers’ commitment to crafting premium, flavourful beers.

With its enticing tropical twist and full-bodied profile, the Coopers 2024 Vintage Ale stands out in the nation’s niche high ABV beer category, which has seen increasing interest from consumers. Beer aficionados and casual drinkers alike are encouraged to get their hands on this exclusive brew soon, as it typically sells out quickly.
