Cotto Espresso To Open Third Café In SA

2O6A4016South Australia’s newest chain of authentic Italian cafés, cotto espresso, will launch their Glenelg café this week (Thursday, September 18). cotto espresso’s growing popularity has fuelled demand for further cafés (they already have two) to open throughout Adelaide, ahead of an interstate and international expansion.

cotto espresso has created full-time and causal employment opportunities for more than 30 people at its Hyde Park and Glenelg café in the past three months, and plans to offer another 10-15 positions when it opens its fourth café in Prospect in October.

cotto espresso CEO Solomon Farah said its people are a crucial ingredient to the experience and success of each cafe.

“We take pride in creating a welcoming environment and offering quality service coupled with authentic Italian coffee, gelati, food and drinks. They are the key ingredient of our success to date,” Mr Farah said.

“We are strong believers in supporting the local community, including creating employment opportunities for local people and giving to those organisations that do great things for the community.”

All proceeds from the first day of trading (19 September) will be donated to the Glenelg Surf Lifesaving Club. President of the club, Peter Sage, said the donation would help support the year- round duties of protecting South Australia’s most popular beach.

“The Glenelg beach is a popular destination for thousands of people each year, including many tourists, who may not be familiar with the dangers that can come with local waters,” Mr Sage said.

“We’re pleased to receive a very generous donation from cotto espresso, which will support the work of our volunteers and assist with upgrades to equipment and facilities. We encourage everyone to get behind the opening of the new café,” he said.

In addition to the new café at Glenelg, cotto espresso will launch a new range of juices and smoothies this month, using locally sourced produce, where possible.

“With the warmer weather beginning to appear, more people are opting for items from our gelati and cold drink menu, so we’ve expanded our range to give people more choice,” Mr Farah said.

“It’s exciting to share the cotto espresso experience with more and more people as we expand. We look forward to opening more cafes across Adelaide and in other locations around Australia in the near future.”

cotto espresso’s new Glenelg café will be located at Shop 3, Mosley Square and is open for business from September 19th.
