Courts Clown Princes Return – Cant Get Enough Of Adelaide

Two of the most popular players over the past years of the World Tennis Challenge, Henri Leconte and Mansour Bahrami will return to Adelaide for the 2012 event to be held 10-12 January at Memorial Drive.

“The feedback we get from the audience is that they cannot get enough and never tire of seeing not only the skill of these players, but the additional entertainment they add to the event” said tournament director Mark Woodforde.

Leconte and Bahrami are undoubtedly crowd favourites and it would appear the feeling is mutual “I am so happy to be back again, I love this place the people and also so nice to be in Adelaide at that time for me” said Henri Leconte who has also been known to indulge in his love of our wine during his visits

He continued to praise the World Tennis Challenge event itself which not like any other event anywhere in the world…”it’s a great atmosphere and very relaxed. We can play on all courts at the same time; it’s fun, unique and unbelievable and has to stay like that….. this is the only on one the tour like that – I love it”

More players to feature at the 2012 World tennis Challenge will be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketek www.ticketek.com.au from just $28.50

About the World Tennis Challenge
Now in its 4th year, The World Tennis Challenge is an innovative sports entertainment event that comprises a competition between four (4) regions featuring one current and one past player from each country. Two courts are used consecutively with all teams playing each other once over the three nights meaning all players play every night – a great benefit for spectators.

The WTC concept was developed by local South Australian tennis identities Mark Woodforde, Darren Cahill and Roger Rasheed in conjunction with American tennis great Jim Courier and Tennis SA CEO Alistair MacDonald.

World Tennis Challenge is in partnership with Tennis South Australia, the governing body of tennis in South Australia and a member association of Tennis Australia. World Tennis Challenge is proudly sponsored by the South Australian Government, through Events South Australia.

Corporate hosting facilities are available – contact Ticketek. Additional facilities have been added this year to cope with demand.
