COVID-19: Adelaide Fringe Says Business As Usual This Weekend

Adelaide Fringe will continue to monitor any updates and continue to act in accordance with further government recommendations.

Adelaide Fringe Festival’s closing weekend will go ahead as planned, releasing the following information earlier this afternoon:

The Federal Government is advising against ‘non-essential, organised gatherings’ of 500 people or more from Monday. 

Under the advice of the Federal Government relating to the ongoing pandemic, Adelaide Fringe will continue to operate business as usual through until Sunday.

Adelaide Fringe will continue to monitor any updates and continue to act in accordance with further government recommendations.

Adelaide Fringe will continue to keep the public informed as updates become available.

The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee recommends that:

  • people that are unwell with cough or fever or other respiratory symptoms should not attend public events or gatherings
  • people who have been in close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19, or who returned from or transited through a listed higher risk country, must not attend public gatherings until 14 days after leaving the country or having contact with a confirmed case even if they are completely symptom free
