There have been 995 new cases of COVID-19 reported today. There have been 6,160 cases reported in South Australia to date.
Today’s cases include 84 children, 66 teenagers, 449 women aged between 18 and 105, and 396 men aged between 18 and 94.
Of these, 91 cases acquired their infection in South Australia and are known contacts of a positive case, 3 cases acquired their infection in South Australia with the contact unknown, 8 cases acquired their infection interstate, and 893 cases are under investigation.
There are 36 cases in hospital, of these are three young children and three others aged between 10 and 19, two people in their 20s, five in their 30s, two in their 40s, six in their 50s, six in their 60s, four in their 70s, one in their 80s, and four in their 90s. Included in the total hospitalisation cases are five people n ICU, with one person is ventilated.
Of the hospitalised cases, 14 people are fully vaccinated, and 10 are unvaccinated (includes partial and nil vaccination), and 12 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, three cases from yesterday have been re-added to the total number of cases, after initially being removed.
SA Health encourage anyone who has been out in the community to monitor closely for symptoms and get tested as soon as soon as they appear.
