COVID-19 update: new exposure sites announced

SA Health has identified new COVID-19 exposure locations in South Australia associated with positive cases of COVID-19.

SA Health has identified new COVID-19 exposure locations in South Australia associated with positive cases of COVID-19. If you attended an exposure location, SA Health maintains that you are required to follow the relevant health advice.

For those students, staff and families affected by the locations and events relating to Our Lady Queen of Peace School, SA Health will be contacting the school community by SMS tonight with more information.

CLOSE CONTACT EXPOSURE LOCATION

Albert Park – Our Lady Queen of Peace School (Staff and students*)
Monday 6 December to Wednesday 8 December

Albert Park – Our Lady Queen of Peace School Year 6 Graduation Liturgy (Year 6 students & families)
Tuesday 7 December – 6.00pm to 8.30pm

Virgin Flight VA233 – Melbourne to Adelaide (Rows 19 to 23)
Tuesday 7 December – arrived 5.05pm

West Lakes – Lakes Resort Hotel Year 6 Graduation Event (Year 6 students and families)
Monday 6 December – 6.15pm to 9.20pm

Unvaccinated contacts – If you are unvaccinated and were at one of the above Close contact exposure locations at the specified date and time, you must:

  • immediately quarantine for 14 days since you were at the location
  • get tested immediately
  • get tested again on day 6 and day 13

Vaccinated contacts – If you are vaccinated and were at one the above Close contact exposure locations at the specified date and time, you must:

  • immediately quarantine for 7 days since you were at the location
  • get tested immediately
  • get tested again on day 6 and day 13
  • not attend high risk settings or COVID Management Plan events for 14 days after exposure
  • wear a surgical mask when around others
  • avoid contact with vulnerable people, avoid non-essential activities where possible and avoid shared spaces and maintain physical distancing on days 8 to 14 after exposure.

*If you are vaccinated and living in the same household as a student at Our Lady Queen of Peace School (excluding who attended the Year 6 Graduation Liturgy and Event), you need to get a test on day 1 and 6 but are not required to quarantine. If you are unvaccinated, you must comply with the above unvaccinated requirements.

CASUAL CONTACT EXPOSURE LOCATIONS

Adelaide – Quest Hotel on Franklin
Sunday 5 December – 6.30pm to 7.00pm

Virgin Flight VA233 – Melbourne to Adelaide (All rows excluding Rows 19 to 23)
Tuesday 7 December – arrived 5.05pm

If you were at one of the above casual contact exposure locations at the specified dates and times, you
must:

  • get tested immediately and quarantine until you receive a negative result
  • get tested again on day 6 and day 13
  • wear a surgical mask when around others at all times
  • avoid contact with vulnerable people (elderly, pregnant, young children), avoid non-essential activities where possible, avoid shared spaces and maintain physical distancing.

If you were at any of the above locations, but not at the specified date and time, monitor yourself for symptoms and get tested as soon as symptoms develop.

You may not always receive a call, SMS or email from SA Health. You must follow the relevant health advice even if you have not been contacted.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, please seek testing as soon as possible.
