Credit Union Christmas Pageant Clown-A-Thon

The Credit Union Christmas Pageant is once again calling on members of the community to get involved in the inaugural Clown-A-Thon for the experience of a life time.

Brian Gilbertson, the Credit Union Christmas Pageant Event Manager, says the initiative has been developed to raise funds for charity and to assist with improved pageant production.

Clowns from previous years

There are 30 clown positions available and the event is being organised in conjunction with MIX 102.3.

“Being a clown and sharing the laughter and fun of the event with more than 300,000 spectators is something special and allows you to be a part of a long standing tradition that heralds in the festive season.” says Gilbertson.

Each clown position costs $1100 (inc GST) and people wishing to be a clown simply need to register online on the MIX 102.3 website. The Clown-A-Thon is being held on the 25th of June 2010, followed by the Clown School in November where you will be taught the art of true silliness.

Past corporate clown participants who are back again this year include Pulteney Grammar School, Haighs and Tagara Builders. They will be joined by Klemich Real Estate, Olympic Industries and Sealink plus the 30 people selected from the public entries.

This year’s Credit Union Christmas Pageant will be held in Adelaide on Saturday 13 November 2010 and the theme is ‘together we can make magic happen.’ All clowns involved will have a unique opportunity to create their very own Pageant Magic.
