IHG Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Pelligra Group and ONE7, has made a strategic shift in their hotel development in Mawson Lakes, Adelaide.
Initially planned as a Holiday Inn & Suites with 130 rooms, the project has transformed into an upscale venture, now rebranded as Crowne Plaza Mawson Lakes. This change reflects a surge in demand from corporate, leisure, and event-focused customers.
Slated to open in the latter half of 2024, Crowne Plaza Mawson Lakes will boast 155 rooms, expansive meeting spaces totalling 442sqm, a fitness centre, and a bar and restaurant. This upgrade aligns with Adelaide’s growing appeal in the premium travel segment, offering an elevated experience to visitors.
Pelligra Group, an established owner of multiple Holiday Inn properties, is expanding its portfolio with IHG. This includes the upcoming Crowne Plaza Carlton in 2024, alongside Holiday Inn Richmond and Crowne Plaza Mawson Lakes.

The Crowne Plaza brand has been experiencing significant growth in Australia, with new openings and refurbishments across the country.
