Crush 11 At Lobethal Road

The Adelaide Hills are set to come alive on the 30th of January as Lobethal Road hosts Crush 11, the annual Adelaide Hills Food and Wine Festival.

With renowned local chef, Ali Seedsman, partnering the event, your tastebuds will be tantalised by a delicious Middle Eastern feast on offer including slow roasted lamb and Moroccan chicken in warm pita, Mezze dip plates, spiced chocolate and almond cake with cream and various cheese plates.

To wash that all down, the region’s finest beverages will be on show including Lobethal Bierhaus handcrafted beers and Lobethal Road and Bacchant wines from $5 a glass. Accompanying the food, wine and beautiful surroundings will be music not to be missed from brothers, Dan and Kyle Lizotte, of emerging roots outfit, Halfway to Forth.

If this was not enough, you can visit a number of other local ‘Crush’ venues during the day on the Crush 11 Shuttle Bus. Just park your car at a participating venue and jump on the bus to be whisked away on one of three different circuits in the Lobethal area. For only $7.50 per head for entry to all circuits, this is a great idea for those who would love to see more of the stunning Adelaide Hills.

Circuits include 14 wineries at 8 venues including Lobethal Road, BK Wines, Tilbrook Estate, Coobara Wines, Tupelo Vintners, Scott Winemaking, Robert Johnson Vineyards, Chain of Ponds, Protero Wines, Goldings, Pike & Joyce, Mt Lofty Ranges & Henschke.

A day of fine wines, fantastic food, hand crafted beers and great music is the perfect excuse for a trip to the Hills – and even if you are driving, designated drivers go into a draw to win 6 bottles of Lobethal Road wines, throughout the afternoon.

Crush 11 at Lobethal Road starts at 11am and runs until 5pm.
