Cult Dessert Cafe 50SixOne To Add Another Venue

Since the cult sensation 50SixOne opened on King William Road in Hyde Park last year, dessert in Adelaide changed forever. Now they’re opening a second cafe.

Sweet tooths, this one’s for you! Since the cult sensation 50SixOne opened on King William Road in Hyde Park last year, dessert in Adelaide changed forever.

The tiny kitchen and dessert bar raised Adelaide’s expectations for shakes, sweets and other delights, when co-owners Simon Flocco and Anthony Canova started serving up decadent offerings of custom homemade ice creams, red velvet pancakes, French pastries, burgers, breakfast and more.

If you’ve ever tried to get a table in there, you will have experienced the line ups out the door, and would have gotten a taste of just how popular this little joint has become.

Luckily, with an abundance of demand and 50SixOne outgrowing its premises, the opportunity to set up a second location is now happening, with a second cafe set to open in 2017 in Prospect.

The new location which will be double the size of the existing one, will deliver up all the gorgeous sweet and savoury delights we’ve come to love from 50SixOne, as part of the new cafe/restaurant strip on the ground floor of the new Palace Nova cinema complex.

Hopefully for those of us wanting a quick hit, this will mean shorter lines as fans spread across the two locations! Either way, we’re counting down the sleeps.
