Curious Squire Launches Dog Menu To Promote Their Extra Dog-Friendly Venue

The Curious Squire now caters for the whole family, four-legged members included.

This month, the North Adelaide home of American cuisine is launching two exciting, new menus, one for human guests and one for pets – the ‘Curious Paws’ menu.

Venue Manager, Clint Barker, says, “On weekends my partner and I often visit the North Adelaide Dog Park with our English Staffie, Byron, but there wasn’t anywhere nearby that’s pet-friendly to go afterwards for a bite to eat.

“We decided to go one step above just accommodating dogs at The Curious Squire, by establishing the venue as a destination where guests can relax and order a meal, not just for themselves, but for their canine companions too,” says Clint Barks.

The ‘Curious Paws’ menu features a number of drool-worthy treats, including the ‘Home-Made Woof Burger’ – a beef, lentil and veg patty served with lettuce, cucumber and duck tenders between steamed potato slices.

“There’s no question we’re a dog-loving nation, in fact Australia has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world, with around 20 dogs per 100 people, so we’re expecting to have lots of these doggy delicacies rolling out of the kitchen,’ says Clint Barker.

The Curious Squire has also revamped their offerings for two-legged guests with a fresh winter menu boasting 10 mouth watering burger options. Head-liner, ‘The Behemoth’ will hit all the spots, bursting with a double beef patty, double cheese, southern fried chicken, mac ‘n cheese patty, pork belly, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, aioli and topped with onion rings.

“We also have great vegetarian options, such as our Happy Cow burger packed with a quinoa, sweet potato and lentil patty, baby spinach, salad, guacamole, chilli jam and mayonnaise, which is set to be a crowd pleaser,” says Clint Barker.

The Curious Squire hosted their inaugural ‘Paws and the Pub’ event to raise much needed funds for the RSPCA on Sunday 23rd July, with the next event planned for Sunday 17th September due to popular demand.

“The Curious Squire is proud to have raised over $1,200 to help animals in need, and hope our future ‘Paws at the Pubs’ events will be even more successful,” says Clint Barker.

So gather the whole family, tailed-members included, to indulge in The Curious Squire’s latest offerings, located at 10 O’Connell Street, North Adelaide.
