As Adelaide comes alive with the Santos Tour Down Under, The Collins Bar has created a limited edition cocktail that’s just perfect for watching the cyclists go by.
The Collins Bar has taken influences of the Tour Down Under stages and the warmer weather set to hit next week to create the new cocktail.
The Collins Bar Manager, Mohit Kadam said the Tour Down Under cocktail is only available for the duration of the event and has been created with a mix of refreshing flavours to match the liveliness of Adelaide in January.
“We’re expecting hot weather over the next week and this cocktail has been created to quench the thirst and energy of those well-travelled cycling fans who have been spending hours on the road, in the heat supporting their teams and cyclists.”
The Tour Down Under cocktail has a bourbon base, served with apple juice, apple liqueur and a spritz of elder flower cordial. The cocktail is then shaken and served with half cubed and half crushed ice to keep everything icy cool.
Tour Down Under fans and enthusiasts are invited to sit back in The Collins Bar, relax with the open summer windows looking onto Victoria Square and the Tour Down Under village and take in all the activities at the end of a long day.
