Two-time World Champion cyclist Julian Alaphilippe has thrilled fans with the exciting news of his participation in the upcoming 2024 Santos Tour Down Under.
The cycling legend, known for his captivating on-road antics and aggressive racing style, is all set to make a triumphant return to this prestigious event.
Alaphilippe’s remarkable career includes six stage wins at the Tour de France and his crowning achievement as the King of the Mountain jersey winner in 2018. He has also secured a Monument Victory at the Milan-San Remo, leaving a mark on the international cycling scene.
The French veteran last graced the Santos Tour Down Under in 2014 when he made his professional debut. Now, a seasoned and decorated cyclist, Alaphilippe is eager to kick off his 2024 season in Adelaide.
“I am very happy to be returning to Australia to take part in the Santos Tour Down Under, my first ever WorldTour race in 2014,” Alaphilippe shared his excitement. The 2024 Santos Tour Down Under promises to be a thrilling spectacle, with elite racing for both men and women spanning nine days in Adelaide and regional South Australia from January 12th to 21st, 2024.
