Daisy Sweetie Cafe has officially opened its doors in Bowden, offering a new cosy space, specialising in vegetarian and vegan dishes. In just a short time, the cute cafe has gained a reputation for its Asian-inspired dessert dishes that have left customers craving more.
Among their standout menu is the special Durian dessert, which is a unique fruit mocktail featuring tropical fruits like jackfruit and coconut, with jellies and durian. Other tempting treats include grass jelly (a popular jelly-like dessert originating from China) with coffee and a selection of ‘moffles’ (a Japanese creation that combines mochi rice cake cooked in a waffle iron). They also have a Boba milk tea cake and a Matcha tiramisu that we can’t look past.
For drinks, the menu features all the good stuff, including iced coffees, lattes, and frappes. The cafe plans to introduce new beverages for summer, such as peach tea and different matcha options, including everyone’s favourite right now… a strawberry matcha.
Owned and lovingly managed by Daniel and his wife Hannah, Daisy Sweetie is designed to be a welcoming spot for families and friends. The cafe’s warm and cheerful yellow and lime colours create a comforting atmosphere that embodies the sweetness suggested by its name.
The cafe’s name ‘Daisy Sweetie’ holds special significance for the couple, with a daisy flower representing ‘mother’ and family, while ‘sweetie’ reflects their dessert focus.
Daisy Sweetie Cafe is open Monday to Saturday, offering coffee and breakfast from 7am to 2pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. From Wednesday to Saturday, they serve food and coffee during the day and desserts in the evening from 5:30pm to 10pm. While they are currently closed on Sundays, they plan to expand their hours once they’re fully settled in.
