Dallas_Presser_Pic_201427c120Three-piece riff rockers Dallas Frasca are back in a huge way with a stomping new single ‘Lizard Boy‘. To celebrate the release, the band will hit the road for a mighty 10-date national tour across April and May, bringing their famed live show to major cities Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne, as well as a number of regional towns across the country.

The single from the Melbourne group – who have gained a fiercely loyal following in both Australia and Europe – is the first taste of their highly anticipated third album Love Army, due out in mid 2014.

When describing the trio, the metaphors are big and unapologetic. Front woman Dallas’ colossal stage presence and devastating vocals are equally matched by the monumentally unmistakable guitar tones of Jeff Curran and trademark gargantuan hitter, Zane Rosanoski on drums.

The upcoming album was recorded by legendary Aussie producer, Lindsay Gravina at Birdland Studios in Prahran, Melbourne. Lindsay has worked with some of Australia’s best rock ‘n roll acts including, Cosmic Psychos, The Living End, Spiderbait, Eskimo Joe, Jet, & AdalitaLove Army will see the band go to uncharted songwriting terrains and represent everything they believe in, both lyrically and musically.

Dallas Frasca are part of the ‘new wave’ of Aussie rock bands having success internationally. The band lived in a small apartment in Pigalle (red light district of Paris) where Love Army began to take shape, molded by their adventures and experiences, from haunted 16th century French mansions, grimy basement cubicles in Soho, London, wandering the halls of the Louvre in Paris, to the more familiar campfire bush bashes in QLD.

When speaking of the new single, Dallas said, ‘Lizard Boy’ is a politically charged beast and the collective consciousness of the entire band aligned. We decided to release ‘Lizard Boy’ a little earlier than we planned, as it is so relevant about our current political climate. This song is a voice for the people, I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels like we are being misrepresented with many of the present issues we are facing in this country.”

The band, who formed in 2006, won Triple J’s, ‘Light Your Fuse. Bluesfest organiser, Peter Noble, discovered them at the event and invited the trio to feature at his festival in Byron Bay later that month. They played to a 6,000+ strong audience as one of their first ever performances together, before going on to perform at countless festivals in Australia and worldwide, including Big Day Out, Falls Fest, Pyramid Rock, Festival of the Sun, Apollo Bay, Queenscliff Music Fest, Southbound & Point Nepean and various international festivals; Blues Passions, Crazy Week, International Earth Day (Canada) & Les Nuits de La Guitare de Patrimonio (FR) to name a few.

In their career, the band have supported rock heavyweights including Patti Smith, Earth, Wind & Fire, Aerosmith, Billy Joel and Van Halen, as well as taking out ‘Artist Of The Year’ at the 2010 Australian Independent Music Awards.
