A free sunset beach party is set to bring Adelaide’s electronic music community together, kicking off the New Year with true dance music camaraderie. The party will take place on Friday, 3 January, with organisers promising a relaxed, community-first gathering focused on connection, music, and respect for the coastline.
It’s all happening at a secret beach location that will be revealed closer to the date. Tracks start spinning from 6pm and keep pumping till late.
The salt and sand fuelled party will feature curated house music pumping all evening as the summer sun dips below the horizon. Designed as an open and welcoming experience, the beach party is free to attend and open to everyone.
Rather than a commercial event, the gathering is community-funded, with donations helping cover essential infrastructure such as sound equipment, DJ decks, generators, fuel, transport, and overall setup. Donors will get an exclusive 30% discount to the group’s next event, CURATORS, which will be held on 17 January at The Austral.
Organisers say the aim is to create a quality experience while keeping the event accessible and grounded in the local scene.
The beach party is set to be an easy breezy summer night’s outing that’s as social and energetic as it is chilled out and just plain enjoyable. Organisers describe it as one of those Adelaide moments that feels effortless, built around good people coming together in the right setting.
The goal is to ensure the site is left as it was found and that the event remains sustainable for future summers.
With long-term dreams to grow the concept into a larger festival-style experience, the January beach party is the perfect way to stay in the festive spirit, especially after New Year’s.
