Dark Chocolate Violet Crumbles Have Launched And Made Our Day

If you’re a lover of Violet Crumbles, there’s a new treat for you to try.

In a day and age when things seem to be overcomplicated, sometimes the simple things give us the most pleasure. So when we heard that local chocolate-producing heroes Robern Menz had brought together two of our childhood favourites – dark chocolate & Violet Crumbles – it was time to bask in the glory of simple pleasures.

Capitalising on the growing popularity of dark chocolate variations, this new bar is the first to pair a cocoa-rich choc coating with honeycomb. The smooth dark choc perfectly complements the sweetness of the shattering honeycomb centre.

We’re not sure why it took nearly 100 years for this to happen (Violet Crumbles started production in 1921) but we think it’s bloody brilliant.

The new Violet Crumble format follows Robern Menz’s recent reintroduction to the Australian market of the Violet Crumble bag, featuring bite size versions of the treat. This news was received welcomed by fans, who have been calling for the return of the shareable Violet Crumble format since it was withdrawn by previous owners a decade ago.

The ol’ Violet Crumble collection now also includes a new, amazing collaboration with Golden Gaytime Violet Crumbles – and our waistlines may never be the same.

Following its acquisition of the iconic Aussie Violet Crumble chocolate bar last year, family-owned SA confectioner Robern Menz have recently also acquired the recipe for the fondly remembered Polly Waffle.

The new Violet Crumble Darks are available at Caltex locations nationally as of today.
