The Vampy lip trend has been taking over the Red Carpet recently from Taylor Swift and Katy Perry at the Met Gala to Lauren Conrad at last week’s CDFA Awards.

So how do we bring this look from the red carpet into our everyday makeup routine?
Don’t be scared, you don’t need to end up looking like Morticia Adams! Why not opt for a slightly softer tone, so rather than nearly black go for a slightly more dark plum tone which isn’t so harsh. One of my favourites is the
“Gypsy” lipstick by Runway Room.
A Berry tone is also a lovely option, not too far out of your comfort zone if you are used to wearing a red lip and still very feminine.
If you’re afraid of looking overly made up with a dark lip opt for a lighter eye makeup, so instead of a smoky eye shadow go for a clean lid with a flick of liquid liner and lashings of mascara, another option is keeping the lip colour more sheer so why not try a tinted gloss instead of an opaque lip colour.
