Dean Lewis announces new album and global tour with Adelaide dates

Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has announced the release of his third studio album, “The Epilogue,” and a subsequent global tour.

Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has announced the release of his third studio album, “The Epilogue,” scheduled for October 18, and a subsequent global tour.

The announcement follows the release of his new single, “All I Ever Wanted,” which has garnered significant attention and streaming numbers since its debut.

“The Epilogue” marks a notable chapter in Lewis’s career, encapsulating a journey of musical evolution and personal growth. The album promises a return to the acoustic roots that first endeared Lewis to his worldwide audience, coupled with the refined pop sensibilities he has developed over years of experience.

In his statement, Lewis expressed his awe at the trajectory of his career, noting the shift from performing in small venues to headlining major arenas around the globe. “It’s been my dream all along to perform at venues like these,” Lewis commented.

He highlighted the surreal experience of headlining renowned venues such as Rod Laver Arena and Wembley, adding, “This truly feels like a dream come true. I can’t wait for my fans around the world to experience my biggest and best shows yet.”

The world tour, aptly named “The Epilogue World Tour,” will commence with its Australian leg this October, starting in Newcastle before moving on to major cities including Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne, and Adelaide, wrapping up in Perth on November 23. Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale June 14, with presales starting a day earlier for those registered on his mailing list.

The production of “The Epilogue” involved sessions in both a Hollywood Hills residence and in Hawaii, places where Lewis found a renewed state of creative inspiration. He drew from the essence of his earlier works, aiming to blend that original rawness with the polished flair of his more recent outputs. “I was trying to rekindle the simplicity of why things worked,” Lewis explained regarding his approach to the album.

The album spans 12 tracks, including the lead singles “Trust Me Mate,” “Memories,” and the powerful new ballad “All I Ever Wanted.” Recorded and co-produced in Los Angeles alongside the acclaimed duo Afterhrs, Lewis’s latest single has already made a considerable impact, receiving airplay across major Australian radio networks and surpassing three million global streams. The music video, shot at the picturesque Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah by Lewis’s brother and long-term visual collaborer, Sean Loaney, adds a visual depth to the heartfelt lyrics of the track.

Dean Lewis’s career since his breakout in 2017 has been marked by significant achievements, including multiple ARIA and APRA awards, alongside accumulating billions of streams worldwide. His prior albums, including the platinum-certified debut “A Place We Knew,” have solidified his standing as a major figure in both Australian and global music scenes.

As fans eagerly await the arrival of “The Epilogue,” it is clear that this album and tour represent a pivotal moment for Dean Lewis, heralding not only a reflection on his past achievements but also a forward-looking exploration of what his future in music holds.
