Detmold Group reveals plans for new sustainable global headquarters in Adelaide

The Detmold Group is set to build a new sustainable global headquarters in Adelaide, with advanced green design and streamlined operations.

Leading Australian packaging company, Detmold Group, have announced a move to a brand new home, as they consolidate their operations with the construction of a new global headquarters in Regency Park. Known for its commitment to sustainable practices, Detmold Group plans to centralise its employees, who are currently scattered across eight locations in Adelaide, into this singular modern facility by the end of 2026.

Designed by Studio Nine Architects and constructed by local family business Centina, the headquarters will be located at 260 Regency Road. The new location will include an innovative three-level workplace comprising 5,100 square meters. The space is designed with environmental performance and employee comfort in mind, with special features like natural lighting, enhanced ventilation, and energy-efficient shading. The facility will also include on-site parking, end-of-trip facilities for cyclists and runners, a cafe, and an expansive green terrace.

Sascha Detmold Cox, CEO of Detmold Group shared, “Purpose-built with sustainability, collaboration and employee wellbeing in mind, our new corporate home integrates contemporary design with environmentally-responsible solutions and an open-plan layout that supports collaboration and innovation.

“Bringing our Detmold family under one roof will help foster stronger connections, knowledge sharing, and a unified culture aligned with our core values.”

Paul Nardinocchi, Managing Director at Centina said, “Centina is excited to collaborate with the Detmold family on the build of their new global headquarters – a flagship project for us in the coming financial year.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability and supports our continued growth as a local, South Australian family business, building not just structures, but lasting community connections.

John Galluccio, Director of Studio Nine Architects, also shared, “Given our long-term relationship and understanding of the Detmold business, we had the honour of being engaged to distil a tailored brief to guide and reflect the values of the business for their new international headquarters located in Regency Park.

“Their vision has been realised as a refined, elegant building that forms part of a broader masterplan, bringing the business’s various divisions into close physical proximity.”

Detmold Group will begin site works for the approved development in June 2025, with completion expected by October 2026. The construction phase is estimated to employ 75 people daily, reaching up to 200 staff over the duration of the project. As part of a longer-term plan, Detmold Group also intends to relocate its manufacturing from Brompton to Regency Park within the next five years.
