The Gallery’s Function Spaces Offer Three Very Different, Very Appealing Tiers Of Service

If you are planning your next event, look no further than the Gallery, with three function spaces, they are bound to have what you are looking for.

Purveyors of engagements, wedding receptions, corporate networking and birthdays, you’ve likely been to a function at The Gallery on Waymouth Street.

There’s no shortage of function spaces in Adelaide, so something has to be intriguing to get our attention. This time, it’s The Gallery’s three extremely different, extremely appealing function rooms.

So, what’s so special about each of these three spaces?

The Gallery Room Level 1

The Gallery Room, which sits 45 persons or can hold 70 for a stand-up event. Perfect for smaller affairs and intimate get-togethers, the Gallery Room feels akin to a cosy bar you’d find in Brooklyn or Paris.

With exposed brick walls, an old-school atmosphere and funky local art, The Gallery Room is reminiscent of a jazz bar. Whether it be a launch, or a small birthday celebration. There’s also the benefit of the space not looking empty if you’re invitee list is in the smaller range.

It also comes fully equipped with iPod connection, a screen, projector and a microphone and more importantly, a functional food and beverage bar.

The Waymouth Room Level 2

Perhaps one of the most malleable spaces, The Waymouth Room can fit a healthy number in terms of both sit down and stand up options. The feel of the space makes it ideal for wedding receptions, birthdays and corporate events.

It can host 140 people sit down and 180 stand up and features a stunning wall to wall glass feature wall, which showcases Waymouth Street.

The room is beautiful, with pure white walls that still retain the brick texture. Light streams from the glass feature wall, so in terms of photo opportunities, you can’t go wrong.

It also comes with a functioning food and beverage servery and all the necessitous electrical equipment.

The Rooftop Level 3

Finally, the epic Rooftop is available for hire on Sundays and Mondays for any event you could think of. It can cater for 180 people stand up and the rooftop bar is available for food and beverages.

With pretty standout views of the area and with no worries about the weather (thanks to their winter makeover of a retractable roof over 3/4 of the area, blinds and heaters) this space is a veritable year-round destination for functions. And of course a cheeky glass of wine after work.

Larger tables that fit groups and with cosier nooks, the layout of the Rooftop brings the ease into hosting an event. And the largest benefit is that it’s perfect for mingling and a social-centric event; boasting the largest bar of the three.

Food & Beverages

The Gallery’s food and beverage menus are consistent through the three levels but they are customisable to suit your preference.

In the cocktail menu, the are numerous options with function heavy hitters such as arancini balls, crispy szechuan calamari, and Kilpatrick oysters. There are also some funky menu options like smoked duck with goats curd on apple discs and sundried tomato, basil and feta puff pastry rolls.

Alternatively, for a sit down function, you have the choice of a great 2 course or 3 course menu for your guests. With drinks packages starting at $38 a head for three hours, you’re looking at great value.

As you’d expect, prices for the rooms vary, depending on which day of the week the event is.
