Mark your calendars, because this summer, the SummerVines festival will take over McLaren Vale with some of the region’s best produce.

For eleven days this January, from Friday 17th to Monday 27th, you can indulge in a showcase of wine, food, and entertainment, while exploring a celebration of the region’s unique coastal influence on its bright, contemporary wines, and thriving farm-to-table ethos.

On offer are 24 unique experiences, where you can go off the beaten path and discover some of McLaren Vale’s best hidden gems. From wine tastings with the experts and lavish long lunches on the lawn to golf buggy vineyard tours and live music, this massive lineup of events caters to both beginners and wine connoisseurs, offering insights into the vibrant and complex wine and food being produced by the locals.

For those wanting to learn more about, and taste some of these fantastic wines, McLaren Vale Hotel will be hosting McLaren Vale’s Mediterranean Maestros an event celebrating the best of the region’s Picpoul, Fiano and Vermentino wines, as well as many other styles and varieties. These wines will be hand-selected by 2KW Head Sommelier Dan McEvoy! For those wanting to dive deeper into the craft of winemaking, at Haselgrove Wine’s ‘Winemaker for a Minute’ experience you’ll have the chance to create your own signature blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre. Also, Battle of Bosworth will be combining cocktails with wine tasting and fun at their ‘Olé! Croquet, Wine Tasting and Sangria on the Lawn’ experience.

Some of the other great events featured in this year’s programme include Dumpling Days at Woodstock Wine with LUCKY – Dumpling & Noodle, a Tour Down Under Party at CLINK at Tintara, and Lobster & Wines at Angove Wines. There will also be unique activities like the Taranga Terroir Tour at Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards, A Donkey-Led Wine Adventure by Journey Home Wines, and a Sunday Picnic at the Chapel at Chapel Hill Winery.
