There’s plenty of Christmas joy happening at Prospect Road this December, from markets to a Christmas Cave and the very important Vinnies Christmas Appeal.

Christmas is in the air Adelaide, and as the weather warms up and the year begins to wind down, there’s never a better time to get out and explore the festive happenings in SA. With the festive season fast approaching, Prospect Road has a chocker-block calendar filled with exciting holiday activities for Adelaidians to enjoy.

There’s plenty of Christmas joy happening at Prospect Road this December, from festive decorations at Payinthi and local businesses, to family-friendly activities, buskers and the very important Vinnies Christmas Appeal.

Prospect Road Vinnies Christmas Appeal

While Christmas is about all things family and present-giving, pay it forward this festive season and support the Vinnies Christmas Appeal on Prospect Road.

Pop your parcels and presents underneath the tree for children in need, giving them the gift of Christmas joy this holiday season. While the appeal kicked off last week, you’ll have the chance to pay it forward until December 9. All donations must be placed in the allocated collection drive space at Payinthi and unwrapped. Perfect presents to buy for the appeal range from sporting and beach equipment, action figures and dolls, puzzles and arts and craft supplies.

After a tough few years, there’s no better way to spread the Christmas Joy than giving gifts to those in time of need and without. Find out more about the St Vincent de Paul Society Christmas Appeal here.

Christmas Cave and Prospect Markets

Santa Claus is making an early appearance in Adelaide– so whether you’ve been naughty or nice – get down to Prospect Road to see the jolly man in red this December 18.

See Santa Claus roll down Prospect Road, spreading his special festive joy before he settles into his Christmas Cave at CIBO.

From here the festive fun kicks off, with plenty of family-friendly activities for you to get stuck into. Decorate your own bauble to proudly hang on your glittery Christmas tree or treat yourself to some sweet spiced gingerbread. There will be face painting, elves blowing bubbles and a chance to decorate the CIBO Christmas Tree as well.

Local musician Bill Meegan will be serenading crowds with acoustic festive tunes, setting the scene for the bustling Christmas Market. Peruse through bespoke stalls from local artists and businesses and find that gift for your loved one you’ve been searching for.

The Christmas Cave and markets kick off at 9am at Vine Street Plaza, with the festive fun running until 4pm on December 18. Find out more here.

Prospect Road Advent Calendar

We don’t know about you, but one of our favourite parts about Christmas is unwrapping a chocolate good or small good from your advent calendar each morning.

Prospect Road love this too, but instead of treating themselves to festive gifts, the precinct has teamed up with several local businesses to help share the holiday joy with the public this Christmas season. From the newly-opened Sideways Liquor to Cibo and Palace Nova – there’s plenty of perfect presents for everyone this December!

Each day from November 28 until December 21, Prospect Road is announcing a new daily prize for you to win on their Facebook and Instagram. To enter, simply shower the social post in love and tag who you’d share the gift with. You and your loved one must be following both Prospect Road and the local business, with one comment equaling one entry. You can enter as many times as you wish into the advent calendar daily as well! Find out more here.

There’s so much happening at Prospect Road this Christmas! Keep up to date with everything on Facebook and online.
