Looking for a way to get outdoors as the weather cools down? WalkFest 2025 is the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of walking.
To celebrate the start of the bushwalking season, Walking SA is hosting the ultimate free family event to connect with nature and celebrate all things walking. For one day only this April, Belair National Park will welcome urban walking and wheeling experts, trail creators, Walking SA team members, and other experts ready to share their stories, offer advice, and help you get started.
These pros truly ‘walk the talk,’ so if you’re looking for reliable advice, they’re the ones to ask. You’ll be able to wander and stroll among 35 stallholders to find your perfect outdoor tribe. Plus, learn how to be prepared for the outdoors, what to wear, what to carry, and the hidden gem spots to walk in South Australia.

The event will run from 9am until 1pm, on Sunday, April 6th and is supported by principal Event Partner, South Australia’s National Parks and Wildlife Service. Joining the stallholders will be lots of free activities like the Scouts SA climbing wall to keep kids entertained. Kids can enjoy free fruit, while coffee and food will also be available.
Throughout the day, there will be a program of guided walks and activities to join. Ranging from 45 minutes to three hours, there are walks for everyone, including child-friendly, dog-friendly, and accessible options.
Tickets for these are $10 per adult, $6 per child, and family tickets can be purchased for $26, which include two adults and two children. Walks will be departing from the WalkFest site between 7am and 12pm, and are a great way to explore the park under the guidance of a pro.

“We are excited to once again celebrate the start of the (bush) walking season, and to provide a platform for ourcommunity to come together and embrace the simple yet transformative act of walking,” said Rod Quintrell, Chair of Walking SA.
Walking is a great way to add some pep to your step while enjoying the outdoors and exploring nature. It’s one of the most accessible forms of physical exercise and an essential way to maintain health and well-being. If you’ve been looking to try something new, this is the perfect opportunity!
