Discover a whole new world with the magical production of Disney’s ‘Aladdin JR’ by the Australian Company of Performing Arts this April school holidays.

Based on the beloved Disney film, the ACPA is transforming the magical classic for the stage at Influencers Church in Paradise this April just in time for the school holidays.

Princess Jasmine is played by the beautiful and talented musically-trained Mateja Sardelis, who you might know from powerhouse pop girl group G-Nat!on who made it as finalists on season 10 of The Voice.

Other cast members of the ensemble including Sampson Wilkop as Aladdin, a performer originally from Clare Valley, who we’ve heard has a wonderful voice and a true passion for the performing arts. Lily Bennett, a student at the ACPA, will be performing as Genie – giving a modern spin to the classically male role.

Without a doubt, the rest of the ensemble will be equally as talented. Consisting of performers aged 12-17, these kids are giving it their all with backing vocals, dance routines while also managing the set changes.

The purpose of the production is to provide South Australian students with the opportunity to get experience in amateur theatre, and start their musical theatre careers.

While this may be an amateur production, the talent of the cast appears to be very impressive, set to bring the magic of Aladdin alive.

This new crop of budding musical theatre performers got the opportunity to work with and learn from Graeme Isaako, the most recent Aladdin on the Australian Tour, adding another layer of talent to this production.

With the original score from the film, both the adults and kids will be transported to the movie magic of the Aladdin film that is so beloved.

Full of your favourite classics, exciting dances and many many laughs, you do not want to miss out on this great local performance.
