Your Old Fave, Distill, Gets Facelift With Open Floor & Updated Menu

Same great atmosphere — just a little facelift.


One of our favourite things is stepping into the welcoming arms of a much-loved bar on a chilly night out. Nothing warms you up faster than strategically squeezing through the crowds to grab a drink (and pausing for a little groove to the great music halfway).

And this is exactly what happened last week at the relaunch party of beloved Rundle Street gin and cocktail bar, Distill!

We’re super excited to welcome back the classy, eclectic vibes that Distill was well known for.

New owner, Steven Giles, gave the venue its revamp, saying, “Distill was love at first sight for me — the previous owners did an excellent job to create such an iconic venue in the East End, but as with any new business, there’s always a huge list of ideas to evolve.”

The ground level of Distill now boasts a more open floor plan with cosy booths, but a sleek new bar to dish out seasonal handcrafted cocktails and diverse range of regional wines and speciality beers.

The new look isn’t all — Distill has a line up of great new events, including hosting the afterparty venue for Fresh 92.7’s weekly Windback Wednesday, plus Knock Offs from 4:30pm every Friday.
