On Friday, February 28th, an Italian spectacle is set to touch down in Rundle Mall, as RAA transforms its fountain into Adelaide’s own ‘Trev-i Fountain’. From 12pm RAA members can head down to the Trev-i Fountain and be in with a chance to win various prizes, including a trip to Europe. This event will bring an Italian flair to the heart of Adelaide, complete with Italian music and free cannolis.
RAA members will have the chance to fish out one of 3,000 bearded rubber ducks from the fountain. Each duck correlates with a prize in a first come, first served fashion. Fish for the main attraction that will see one ‘lucky duck’ winning the grand prize of a trip to Rome, Italy, which includes return flights and accommodation for two, courtesy of RAA Travel.
RAA’s Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Healy shared “RAA’s beardy bee, Trev, has caused quite the buzz since we introduced him to the world last year.
“As we enter Mad March in Adelaide, Trev thought this would be the perfect time to give back to 3,000 of our valued RAA members, and show some love to the Rundle Mall Fountain that sits proudly in front of the Adelaide Arcade.
“If you have a valid RAA membership card – for example if you’ve got roadside assistance or insurance with us – come along and pick one of the 3,000 rubber ducks out of the Trev-i Fountain.
“You never know where your rubber duck may take you: from your local pub for a free meal, all the way to Rome to see the real Trevi Fountain thanks to RAA Travel.”
Aside from the grand trip to Rome, participants can win a variety of other prizes such as cinema vouchers, bar and restaurant vouchers, and activity vouchers. These are part of the RAA Rewards program, which collaborates with various partners.
The ‘Trev-i Fountain’ activation will run from 12 noon until 9pm or until all prizes are claimed. The time when the major prize will be drawn remains undisclosed as it will be selected at random throughout the event.
RAA members are encouraged to participate early since the prizes are available on a limited basis. So if you’re keen, head on down and get fishing!
