Big news for Doctor Who fans has dropped and you may be interested to know that the franchise will be travelling to Disney+.
The new partnership between the Time Lord and Mickey Mouse was announced today with updates on the status of the existing Doctor Who catalogue.
BBC announced that Doctor Who fans outside of the UK and Ireland will be able to watch new episodes of the show on Disney+ while the BBC will remain Doctor Who’s home in the UK and Ireland. This change will take effect starting in November 2023, when the show returns for its 60th anniversary.

There were whisperings of Disney+’s interest in Doctor Who in July, where reports claimed the streaming service was looking to acquire the rights to future series of Doctor Who.
Right now, all 13 series of New Who is available to stream on HBO Max, if you want to catch up on the adventures of Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker before the show returns a year from now.
The older episodes will also remain on HBO Max after the transition to Disney+ occurs.
