Don’t Miss The De Lisio Wines Pop Up Cellar Door This October

October is looking good with the news that De Lisio Wines are holding a pop up cellar door, and it all starts this long weekend

The De Lisio Wines cellar door emerges just a few times a year at the McLaren Vale Visitor Centre, and this October is one of them! So take the opportunity to taste through their range, discuss the wines, and pick up some stock for your wine rack, at great prices.

On show are their boutique premium wines, packed with character, created from McLaren Vale’s flagship varieties. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle, and can be enjoyed with a full café menu and tasting plates. Nestle into the rustic, rammed-earth cellar door, or relax on the covered deck overlooking the sweeping manicured lawns and the rolling hills of The Vale.

De Lisio Wines is a proudly family owned and operated McLaren Vale winery, founded in 2002, and continuing to produce award-winning, highly sought after wines. Winemaker Tony De Lisio has viticulture running through his family history in South Australia; he first grew vines in Clarendon with his father, as well as back in his native Italy where the De Lisios continue to tend vines and orchards around Castellino.

The De Lisios believe that wine is all about enjoyment, and as a boutique family winery, they are able to stay true to traditional methods, offer minimal interference with the processes, and create unique, premium wines for cellaring, celebrations and even family weeknight dinners.

‘My intention when making wine, apart from trying to achieve excellent results, is to encourage debate, opinion and reaction; there seems to be nothing that stirs the conversation more than wine. And so I hope this occurs every time someone sits down somewhere, with colleagues or friends, to drink and enjoy a De Lisio wine. For a winemaker to lend his name to a wine it becomes personal, share my taste.’ Tony De Lisio, Winemaker
