Don’t Miss The Most Delicious Picnic We Have Ever Heard Of!

With more food than you can imagine, glorious wine and the beautiful setting of Marble Hill, just read about this picnic. Trust us….

Amongst the historic setting of Marble Hill, the Governors’ Summer Residence, will be an unmissable picnic…

The beautiful estate was nearly burned to the ground in the bushfires of 1955, and after a local winemaker saw the opportunity to highlight the unique region, so came Picnic At Marble Hill.

With a picnic comes the total necessities of good food and wine, and this beautiful Adelaide Hills region has that covered. Seriously, this list that you are about to read will have your mouths watering and your tummies rumbling. You have been warned.

The wine and cider tent will host select wineries include wine-growing legend Henschke and rising stars BK Wines, Boovability, Gentle Folk, Jauma, Lobo Cider, Marble Hill Wines, Ngeringa Vinyards, Ochota Barrels, Tansley Farm, Whisson Lake and Basket Range Vineyard. Ashton Valley Crush will sell their juices and fruit produced minutes from Marble Hill; gourmet coffee roasted in the Adelaide Hills will be provided by Moshico. Delicious fare from Udder Delights cheeses, wood-fired pizzas from Woodbake Café in Stirling and Natura Ice Cream from Hahndorf, amongst others, will keep you satisfied. There will also be a gourmet charity sausage sizzle featuring locally-reared meats.

We told you…

The beautiful grounds, the museum and the ruins will all be available for guests to explore when they aren’t enjoying the live music or getting ridiculously full on the gloriously exceptional food and wine.

Of course there will be activities, including face painting, for the kids. And this not-for-profit event will see the proceeds go to the Cora Barclay Centre.
