Food and wine tasting should undeniably be about the experience of tantalising your senses as you discover premium wines and an assortment of regional produce. It is a moment of discovery, luxury and learning.

This year at the Barossa Vintage Festival Food & Wine Experience, there will be a selection of Barossa Trust Mark Wines matched with a delicious assortment of local food.

Taste Eden Valley Regional Wine Room is a Barossa Trust Mark experience destination, showcasing wine producers without cellar doors from Barossa’s beautiful high country, Eden Valley.

The Barossa Trust Mark is awarded to wines that demonstrate exemplary achievement and distinction across these five pillars: Origin, Integrity, Quality, Environment and Community.

This year Gatt Wines and Poonawatta will be showcased.

Poonawatta The 1880 Shiraz is produced from a tiny vineyard planted in 1880. As such, it is one of the last remaining vineyards of its era, and one of the oldest in Australia.

Fewer than 900 vines remain as a living relic of Australia’s pioneering winemaking heritage.

Poonawatta’s ancient hand crafted vines tirelessly produce limited quantities and this year at the festival you will be delighted with the 2015 release – James Halliday 96 points.

At the event, your private, long table master class will feature wines from current to museum releases.

Bookings are essential for this event as there are only limited seats available. Tickets are $65 per person.

Don’t miss out on this fabulous event.
