Asian food aficionados are saying goodbye to a fan fav eatery, Blue Rose at Henley Beach, sister restaurant of popular Asian eatery Gondola Gondola. Taking to their Facebook, the owners announced their closure ‘with a heavy heart’.
Opened in the former 50SixOne premises on Seaview Road, the venue showcased a series of colourful, abstract interior fixtures. It joined the vibrant emerging foodie scene at Henley Beach, adding to the buzzing atmosphere and international flavour of Henley Square, home to Adelaide favourites including Malobo, Estia Restaurant and Mia Margarita.
The restaurant was an extension of their popular sister venue with Vietnamese, Chinese and Taiwanese influences in its delicious cuisine. They also served a Boozy Lunch Banquet during the colder months and have been loved year-round for their mouth-watering chicken and corn dumpling and incredible cocktails.
In the post they expressed gratitude to those who supported the venue.
”Due to unforeseen circumstances and a shift in the long-term vision of our team, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.
“We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who have supported us throughout this journey. Your loyalty and love have meant the world to us, and we will forever be grateful for the memories we’ve created together.
“While this chapter comes to an end, please visit us at our sister restaurant, Gondola Gondola on Peel Street, Adelaide CBD. We would be honoured to have you for the same warmth, hospitality, and delicious South-East Asian cuisine that you’ve come to love.
“Thank you once again for being part of the Blue Rose family. Our last days of trade will be Saturday & Sunday (Sept 1st). We look forward to seeing you soon! With heartfelt appreciation, The Blue Rose Team”
As the restaurant is now closed, Blue Rose gift vouchers will be redeemable at Gondola Gondola.
