Down The Rabbit Hole is set to host an enchanted garden party this spring, bringing together the best of McLaren Vale Grenache, fresh Italian flavours, and lively music.
As part of the Grenache and Gourmet festival, Festa del Grenache will take over the winery on Saturday 4 October from 5:30 to 10pm. Expect a picturesque evening under the stars, inspired by Italian hospitality and the rich character of Grenache.
Tickets are $85 and include tastings of six unique Grenache styles, along with a spread of food designed to pair perfectly. The menu features two canapés, three housemade pasta dishes, and a dessert to finish on a sweet note. A live Italian band will keep the party atmosphere flowing throughout the night.
Few cellar doors capture the imagination quite like Down the Rabbit Hole. Recently named runner-up in the Halliday People’s Choice Awards, the McLaren Vale winery is known for its pastel double-decker bus on the lawns, laid-back picnic setting, and its Fiore restaurant. It’s a venue that’s as much about atmosphere as it is about wine, with everything from pizza and wine nights to sunset sessions with live music like this one.
“We’re celebrating this incredible variety the best way we know how: with a garden full of Grenache, pasta, and live Italian music,” the Down the Rabbit Hole team said.
Festa del Grenache is just one of many experiences taking place during the Grenache and Gourmet festival, which runs across McLaren Vale each spring. The annual program shows off one of the region’s signature grape varieties through food, wine, and events that highlight the creativity and hospitality of local producers.
Set among the rolling lawns and gardens of Down the Rabbit Hole, this one-night festival will bring together wine, food and music in a setting that’s made for spring evenings in McLaren Vale.
