Down The Rabbit Hole Wines is temporarily closed, and the popular cellar door will reopen in June with renovations and a new menu.

If you thought Down The Rabbit Hole winery in the McLaren Vale couldn’t get any more magical, think again.

You’ll have to reroute any plans to visit for the next couple of weeks, as they shut their doors on Monday, 24 May to “sprinkle a little magic dust around the place,” but they’ll be open soon after renovations.

While we don’t know what the exact renovations will entail, we do know Down The Rabbit Hole Wines will reopen on Thursday, 10 June to unveil the refresh, as well as a new autumn and winter menu for weekday lunch bookings, and a casual grazing menu for weekends, which is walk-ins only.

As always, the focus is on local, organic produce (any wheat or gluten-free diners will be well looked after) and a relaxed atmosphere, so we can’t wait to see what delights for the sense await when they reopen. After a season of popular spring and summer events, including performances by The Dreggs, Kim Churchill, Jack Botts and a host of other home grown talents, we’re sure there will be some pretty special announcements to come when they reopen in June.

Although we’re sad we’ll have to spend a few weeks pining after the beautiful Down the Rabbit Hole, we’re excited to see what’s in store!

Whilst the cellar door and restaurant are closed, you can still get your fix of Down The Rabbit Hole Wines by visiting their website and ordering their wines directly. You can keep up to date is on their Instagram.

Down The Rabbit Hole Wines is located at 233 Binney Rd, McLaren Vale.
