If you’re anything like us, you’ll have been dying to get your hands on the totally viral Dubai chocolate bar. Well, you’re almost in luck—South Australia’s most viral bakery has put its own spin on it, combining it with creamy soft serve.

“Jenny’s is a family run bakery,” shared Joe Titaro.

“My father, Enzo, took over about 35 years ago, and we were predominantly a wholesale bakery serving cafes and restaurants across Adelaide. We’ve always had a retail shop, but over the last five or six years, we pivoted towards retail, since then we’ve really gone gangbusters on social media. Now we’re just really busy bakery.”

If you’ve been online in the last couple of years, chances are you’ve come across Jenny’s Bakery. Known for its indulgent desserts, unique flavors, and Instagram-worthy treats, Jenny’s has built a reputation for thinking outside the box and doing things differently.

“A lot of bakeries aren’t run by bakers. We are bakers by trade, we know our customers, and we really cater to them,” Joe said.

“We don’t offer what every other bakery does. If you walk into our bakery, you won’t see the same products as anywhere else. Every time you visit, we’ll have something new. My marketing team hates me because I’m the most unpredictable person—we change our products so frequently that they can never have a solid marketing plan in place.

“On social media we’re one of the most followed hospitality venues in South Australia, last I checked we’re reaching two million people every thirty days online.”

With all the reach online, it makes sense for Jenny’s to indulge in some viral treats, and incorporate them into their baked goods and sweet treats.

Last year, Jenny’s was inspired by the viral pistachio Dubai chocolate bar and transformed it into a croissant. Now, they’re back with a new and improved concoction. For those who are yet to discover this viral treat, most commonly the Dubai chocolate bars are filled with layered crispy khanafeh (a dessert made of butter phyllo pastry and sugar syrup), pistachio pieces and tahini paste, all wrapped within a milk chocolate bar.

“Like everyone else, we saw the pistachio trend taking off overseas. A company had created this Dubai chocolate bar, but production was extremely limited—you couldn’t get it because they simply couldn’t make enough.

“Everyone kept seeing it online, people were reviewing it, but you couldn’t access it in Australia, so we had a look at what they were using to make it, got it, replicated it, not into a chocolate bar, but into a croissant. It went absolutely crazy.

“We recently invested in a soft serve machine at our locations, and it was purely just so we could do what we do with our croissants and turn it into an amplified soft serve.”

So now you can try a few of Jenny’s favourite croissant flavours, including the pistachio Dubai chocolate bar, as delicious soft serve sundaes.

“We’ve been having fun with it and playing with flavours. Everyone loves soft serve, soft serve and cakes go well together!”

The latest must-try flavor is tiramisu, launched this week—and it looks just as delicious!
