Book worms, you’re going to need some more bookmarks! Rundle Mall favourite Dymocks is back after an unfortunate but short closure.

Seeing their doors shut after 15 years of trade in what can only be considered one of Rundle Mall’s biggest retail stores, Dymocks have vacated their longstanding home to make way for a Rebel Sport mega-store.

Alongside Dymocks, two other stores have closed their doors to make room for the multi-level sports super store seeing Foot Locker move across the mall and Australia the Gift, also shutting up shop.

By now, this is not news to most Adelaidians. What might be unknown, however, is that Dymocks have relocated to a popup location and are offering their massive selection of hardcopy prints once more.

If you’ve been missing a good old browse of a blurb you can now visit Dymocks on level 1 of the Myer centre in what almost feels like a fitting spot for the historic bookstore brand.

While Dymocks is settling in nicely to their new Myer domain, the bookstore is on the hunt for a ground level location in a place they feel most welcome, Rundle Mall.

Bookstores across South Australia have continued to have a tough time holding their place, which is why an importance on in-store retail shopping is so powerful especially following the effects the pandemic has had on retail environments.

You can rest assured Dymocks isn’t going anywhere and they await your familiar, smiling faces.

You can find Dymocks popup location at Shop 123, Myer Centre Adelaide, 14/38 Rundle Mall, Adelaide SA 5000.
