East End Cellars announce new CBD venue on the riverbank

The wizards behind the beloved East End Cellars, Mother Vine, and their Norwood outpost are setting the stage for yet another new dining adventure at One Festival Tower by Walker.

Prepare your palates, Adelaide! The wizards behind the beloved East End Cellars, Mother Vine, and their Norwood outpost are setting the stage for yet another new dining adventure at One Festival Tower by Walker.

This yet-to-be-named venue promises to redefine Adelaide’s food and wine landscape when it welcomes its first guests later this year.

Located on the ground floor of the Riverbank’s most prestigious commercial tower, the new establishment aims to blend inspiration from Australia’s top dining experiences with international culinary delights.

“We’re poised to offer an unparalleled dining experience that will become a cornerstone of Adelaide’s vibrant food scene, perfectly complementing South Australia’s already impressive culinary offerings,” shared Michael Andrewartha, the visionary founder of East End Cellars.

Imagine indulging in exquisite dishes as the Adelaide evening breeze caresses your face, with tables spilling onto the bustling Festival Plaza. This vision of a classic warm Adelaide night, complete with tantalising food, flowing wines, and a lively open square, is what Andrewartha aspires to bring to life.

“There isn’t a better location in Adelaide for us to create this incredible dining experience, flowing out onto the public square at Festival Plaza, and we’re confident our concept will become one of Adelaide’s premier dining destinations for food and wine, complementing what is already an incredible dining scene in South Australia,” Mr Andrewartha said.

“My ambition is to make our new restaurant accessible to all Adelaideans with a broad offering suitable for a variety of occasions and palates.”

“You can picture a classic warm Adelaide night with the tables flowing out onto the plaza with music playing, great food and a safe open square, elevating the overall experience for locals, interstate visitors and international tourists.”

“Our new venue will have a strong emphasis on dining but also set aside a part of the venue, accessible for walk-ins to cater to those merely looking at enjoying a few glasses of wine or a snack. We definitely want to integrate the nonchalance and great atmosphere which people have experienced and enjoyed at East End Cellars for the last two decades in the more casual part of our venue.”

Walker Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer David Gallant said the expansion of one of Adelaide’s most established restaurant cellars will be a winning formula for the rejuvenation of the Riverbank.

“East End Cellars knows what Adelaide loves to eat and drink and we are excited to have the calibre of Michael and his team bring a world-class dining experience to Adelaide’s new city heart,” Mr Gallant said.

“Part of the recipe to successfully activating commercial precincts is attracting the best restaurants to give customers an unforgettable experience.”

“East End Cellars is a great South Australian business and their new offering at One Festival Tower will be a place where you will be able to go and eat a great meal paired with some top South Australian wine, after work or uni, before watching the footy, or after catching a show at the Festival Centre.”

Whether you’re winding down after a day’s work, gearing up for a footy match, or looking for the perfect pre-show meal, East End Cellars’ latest venture is set to be your new go-to spot. With a focus on exceptional meals and top-notch South Australian wines, this upcoming addition to Adelaide’s dining scene is eagerly anticipated by foodies and wine lovers alike.
