East End Cellars Has Added RACLETTE To The Menu

Raclette is the absolute delight we’ve been salivating over since it popped up on our Instagram feeds a little while ago.

When I say (write) Raclette, you say (probably in your head) yum. Unless you don’t like cheese, in which case, Raclette is not for you. For those of us who do like cheese, particularly the melted variety, Raclette is the absolute delight we’ve been salivating over since it popped up on our Instagram feeds a little while ago. Generally scraped from a bubbling, melted cheese wheel, Raclette is basically the new fondue.

The Tasting Room at the ever-popular East End Cellars has now introduced Raclette Night. Every Thursday night, from 5pm until 8pm throughout Winter, you’ll be able to settle in and enjoy a plate of melted Raclette cheese with traditional accompaniments, including Soi Boii baguette, cornichons, tiny pickled onions, boiled kipfler potatoes, and finely sliced San Daniele prosciutto. The plate is matched with a glass of Keller Trocken Riesling.

This particular Raclette comes from Livradoux in the Auvergne Region, France. The cheese is a semi soft, aromatic Alpine cheese. The open kitchen at East End Cellars allows customers to see the Raclette machine in action. The cheese is heated under a red-hot open flame until it bubbles and turns golden. The oozy goodness is then scraped straight from the wheel.

The East End Cellars Tasting Room is home to window seats and a custom-made Italian banquette. It’s cosy and stylish, ideal for post-work catch ups. As well as the wonderful Thursday night Raclette and wine situation, The Tasting Room has a full lunch and dinner menu, and an extensive wine list.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your work wife and head to the Tasting Room for an oozy plate of Raclette.

You can find the East End Cellars Tasting Room at 25 Vardon Ave, Adelaide SA 5000.
