#EASTENDWINEDOWN to hit Adelaide again in April 2013

wine-glassesIt’s back! #EASTENDWINEDOWN, listed in the Best of the Best 2012 by the Adelaide* Magazine is back in 2013, bigger and better than ever!

Part of the inaugural Adelaide Food and Wine Festival, #EASTENDWINEDOWN will see over twenty winemakers from across South Australia converge in Adelaide’s East End for some new-fashioned fun and frivolity.

The winning event shines a light on some of the most unique wines in the country. DJ BK will be spinning funky beats while you sip your way through over 100 varieties and styles from across South Australia and beyond.

Alpha Box & Dice winemaker, Justin Lane says he can’t wait to join the eclectic mix of winemakers to showcase his wares in VardonAvenue.

“We’re excited to be teaming up with #EASTENDWINEDOWN, a community event that brings the joy of great food, great wine and great companionship to Adelaide.

La Cantina Co. will be serving up their food truck goodness and the fellows from East End Cellars will be on hand to disperse their vinous knowledge.

Sommelier and Manager at East End Cellars Gus Buchanan sums it up “#EASTENDWINEDOWN is wine tasting made fun and accessible – music, food, great wines and Adelaide sunshine, what’s not to love?”

Tucked away in Adelaide’s east end laneway, Vardon Avenue is the long-time home of East End Cellars, one of the city’s finest independent wine stores. Joined by local businesses, the intimate locale is one of Adelaide’s destinations for food, wine and fashion.

“We will fill the laneway with wine-loving punters, urban beats and loads of talking, tasting and tweeting,” say event creators Louise Radman and Amanada James-Pritchard.

“Last time we trended on Twitter in Adelaide, the same happened when we staged #EASTENDWINEDOWN in Sydney,” the pair say.

#EASTENDWINEDOWN is a rare opportunity for people to get together and explore some of the coolest wine in the country. You will also be able to pick up some great deals from East End Cellars to stock your cellar.
